Ultimate Sudoku is a free online number puzzle that builds a brand-new grid every time you play. Pick Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced, then fill the 9x9 board so every row, column and 3x3 block holds the numbers 1 to 9 exactly once. A clock runs while you solve, and your score at the end is whatever is left of the target time, so speed counts as much as accuracy.

How to Play Ultimate Sudoku

• Choose your level: Beginner leaves the most numbers on the board, Intermediate fewer, Advanced the fewest.
• Fill the blanks: Tap a cell then a number, or use the keyboard. Delete clears a cell, undo takes back your last move.
• Pencil in notes: Memo mode writes small candidate numbers into an empty cell so you can narrow the options down.
• Watch for clashes: If your number already sits in the same row, column or block, the conflicting cells flash red.
